Is digital consumption taking over our sleep?

Digital technology in today’s world occupies a lot more of our time then we might think.

Today consumers are spending 7.8 hours a day consuming and engaging with digital content. This figure on average is almost the equivalent to the recommended hours for sleep. However, this total is even greater in the millennial generation with 9.6 hours a day spent consuming, viewing and engaging with content.

With so much noise and content produced each day it should come as no surprise that consumers are expecting more personalised content. Demand for personalised content has increased dramatically with 42% of consumers saying they get annoyed when their content is not personalised. In order for brands to be successful personalisation needs to become the core of digital strategies in order to engage with audiences and drive successful results.
