Chalco-Phillips Group, community engagement, media activities,

SECURING COMMUNITY CONFIDENCE

Chalco undertook a feasibility study for the Aurukun Bauxite Project that included a mine and associated infrastructure and a new alumina refinery and supportive infrastructure at Abbot Point in Queensland.

Phillips Group was engaged to manage community engagement and media activities to support the feasibility study process involving the wider Bowen community.

A positive and transparent relationship with the Bowen community based on trust and openness was achieved through a comprehensive community engagement program of regular briefings, media relations and reputation management activities resulting in the community’s willingness to contribute constructively to the process.

Primerino-Phillips Group, brand awareness, global media campaign,

LAUNCHING A WOOL INDUSTRY BRAND INTERNATIONALLY

Primerino commissioned Phillips Group to support a milestone in its history: the sale of a 90kg bale of 11.9 micron wool, the finest and softest ever produced in the world. At the same time, Phillips Group was to leverage the attention gained from the sale to launch the Primerino brand.

In just three weeks, Phillips Group developed and implemented a strategy to attract global attention for a bale of Australian wool and raise brand awareness of national and international customers in the manufacturing and fashion industries.

The bale sold for a record price of $AUD 675,000 or $7,500 per kilogram at a time when superfine wool was selling in Australia for about $13 per kilogram. The campaign achieved more than 300 print, radio and television reports throughout Australia and the Primerino story featured on 119 media, business and industry websites in 18 countries.

DRIVING AWARENESS OF QUEENSLAND LAW FOUNDATION’S OFFERING

Queensland Law Foundation Pty Ltd (QLF) partnered with the Queensland Law Society (QLS) to support the “Solicitor Assist” program, offering QLS members financial support, advice and facilities.

Phillips Group was contracted to build awareness of QLF and its offering amongst members.

A comprehensive program of regional and industry advertisements and supported the establishment of a Solicitor Assist Panel.
